Carter is a timid boy who is very unsure of new things. Once acclimated to his surroundings and routine he's great! He will do best with an adopter who is loving, patient, and willing to give him the time he needs to build his trust. He is bonded with Violet who is a little less nervous about people than Carter is, and another confident dog in the household will also show Carter how awesome life can be. Carter would not thrive in an apartment or busy city, so a more rural single family home with a large fenced yard is the best fit for him. He is VERY dog friendly and loves to play with any dog you put him with. Carter and Violet do wonderfully together, with a very solid routine, and will make great "farm dogs" where they can be allowed to relax and play together...that's all they want in life.

About the Owner: K-9 Lifesavers is an all-volunteer, approved 501(c)(3), private non-profit rescue group, dedicated to saving the lives of homeless and abandoned dogs from high-kill shelters, and other high-risk situations. We rescue dogs and puppies from high- kill shelters and high-risk situations in S. Virginian, Georgia, the Carolina’s, and Tennessee, where dogs are only held anywhere from three to five days before euthanasia.
